Trebles galore 1977 - Terry McDermott grabbed a hat-trick as we thumped Hamburger SV 6-0 at Anfield in the second leg of the UEFA Super Cup, to win the trophy 7-1 on aggregate, with Phil Thompson, David Fairclough and Kenny Dalglish also on target. This game marked Kevin Keegan’s first return to Anfield after leaving for Germany in the summer, and he was roundly booed whenever he touched the ball. 2017 – Philippe Coutinho scored three times as we trounced Spartak Moskva 7-0 at Anfield, our second victory of the UEFA Champions League group stage that season. A treble for Sir Roger 1964 - Roger Hunt scored a hat-trick as we thumped Burnley 5-1 in a top-flight meeting at Turf Moor. Geoff Strong and Chris Lawler both struck their first reds goals. Half a millennium for Stevie 2009 - Steven Gerrard played his 500th reds game as we held Blackburn Rovers to a goalless Premiership draw at Ewood Park. The closest we came was when David N’Gog rattled the crossbar. 1925 – Harry ‘Smiler’ Chambers struck in the ninetieth minute as we held Blackburn Rovers to a 1-1 draw in a top-flight meeting at Ewood Park. Ted Harper bagged one of his five goals a

Euro comeback 2019 – We entertained Barcelona in the second leg of our UEFA Champions League Semi-final, having lost the first meeting 3-0 and being without Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah due to injury. Divock Origi gave us an early lead, but we suffered another setback when left-back Andy Robertson had to be withdrawn at half time. However, substitute Gini Wijnaldum bagged a brace in a two-minute flurry before Origi completed a 4-0 rout from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s quickly taken corner. Forward Daniel Sturridge came on to make his 160th and last appearance for the club. Rush scored
