    Kenny steps down 1991 - Kenny Dalglish announced his resignation as reds boss in a press conference at Anfield. He had been in charge for nearly six years, leading us to the double in his first season, and a further two League titles, FA Cup, two FA Charity Shields and Screen Sport Super Cup.     Happy birthday Quasi 1961 - Peter Beardsley was born in Newcastle. He arrived at Anfield from Newcastle United for a British record £1.9m fee in July 1987, winning two League titles, an FA Cup and two FA Charity Shields, scoring 59 times in 175 games.
