Its on the BBC site. Player has denied the claims. Link They lip read on television??? They weren't there?? What a load of balls. If they could detect at least some of us without lip reading skills would have seen it too. That's unless the offending player speaks through gritted teeth a la Bruce Springsteen.

I really think LG has to be played as far up the pitch as possible. He's saved us a number of times and scored some great, important goals - but so many times, when he has time on the ball and time to think, he messes up.

I hear ya, mate. Not sure if its been mentioned, but we missed Sissoko when he went off. Even the way he rattles into tackes can help up the tempo. I was a bit worried that a midfield without Gerrard and Sissoko may lack pace. Any news on his injury.

Hold on - nobodoy on here is saying it was a disaster. Few people are just frustrated by such a rubbish performance. And worried about the medicrity of our striking options. We played a poor team - arguably the weakest left - and we really should/could have won the tie tonight. Instead we have a much toughter task than we should have. I think we're entitled to have a little moan about that- it helps get rid of the frustration. And yes - i think we'll still go through.

The game was screaming for him to come on. Fowler never got into it (plus his fitness is obviously only coming back). Morientes worked hard, but.... don't really need to finish that.

Crouch needs to play in the second leg. And Gerrard of course. If we can rattle at them from the start i think we'll beat them. But this tie should have been over.
