Can we tempt the Hodge out of the old folks home?
We should give it to him because it's a tough job to follow Klopp, so whoever follows Hodgson would be a huge step up. But you never know - given his VERY IMPRESSIVE career resume, it would be interesting to see what someone like Hodgson could do if given the chance to manage Liverpool.

Why's his ball bag attached to his leg?
I think it's the back of the head of a fat bald man. But he's lost the rest of his body.

House of Gucci was hilarious though. The sex scene
Couldn't believe how bad that movie was. I just didn't care about anyone. The whole thing was absurd, and not in a good way.

That was Diaz (who was [hopefully] fine, and played for Colombia). Nunez was the hamstring issue again.

A few reports that Louis Rees-Zammit is signing with the Chiefs.
Interesting. wonder if he'll get any further than their practice squad. I know a few have tried, but it's hard to make it...

This goal does not seem to have any video associated with it. Am beginning to doubt it really happened, which is a shame.
Edit.. Found it here. Deflection or not, still a great hit.

Virg and Dom are captain of their respective national teams. Hungary haven't lost since he became captain, it's a big deal for these lads.
Given how important they are, I'd say that this is even more reason not to play them for the full 2 x 90 minutes in meaningless friendlies. And I can better understand 90 minutes for VVD against Germany, but doing so against Scotland too? Pah.
-
That was such a weak penalty. Horrible end for Wales there.

I really hate these international breaks, even if this one did come at a somewhat good time in terms of giving some of our injured players some more recovery time. But Robbo injured again. VVD played full 90 minutes in 2 meaningless friendlies, which just doesn't make sense to me at all. Szoboszlai also played both full matches (and scored twice). Elliott also played all of both matches when he's had to play more recently than he would have had we had fewer injures. Diaz played most of the Colombia game today. Argentina still to play later, so hopefully Mac Allister comes back fit.

Per Paul Robinson on the BBC
"Looks like James Madison is going to play in and around Ivan Toney".
Wow.

Off injured for Scotland (again) apparently.
Yeah, sounds like a not very friendly challenge on his ankle has f***ed him. Hopefully just bruising and not ligament damage, but BBC were saying he had his head in his hands, and it didn't look great. Friendlies are dumb enough, but having NI play Scotland and Germany v Netherlands risks silly stuff happening.

Defender and keeper both glitching in that clip. Amazing stuff.

Robbo f***ed
What happened? saw he went off just after Bradley scored, but they didn't say what might be up.
Edit: Ah just went a few mins back and looks like ankle injury ffs.

I couldn't resist the Echo click bait; "Liverpool told that Gareth Southgate could be their next manager"
"If he's available, then you have to look at all the options. He's done a brilliant job with England, so there's no reason he can't be successful with a club like Liverpool, as he'd be dealing with a similar standard of players. You need to have the chat as you can't just dismiss him if he's available. "
Our former player and another not smart man, Glen Johnson.

Love this: Who’s winning the title then?
CB: Howard Webb
Again, it says a lot when someone as bitter and anti-Liverpool as Craig Burley is laughing about how absurd it is. And he makes a good point (shocking) about Webb being able to go on UK TV and get away with saying that sort of nonsense. Everyone in the game knows it's a pen, and while there's no guarantee we would have scored it, let's just hope it's not potentially the difference between us winning and not winning the league.

Annoying to see VVD play the entire match against Scotland, when they have a 'friendly' against Germany coming up next week too.
-
7 goals in his last 5 U-21 games.
Good for his confidence, even if he's clearly too good for that level now.
-
Not injured.
And even better... having only played 30 mins on Thursday, he's returning to Liverpool now because their second game (due next week) has been cancelled.

I do hope all this season's activity is a precursor to them walloping Citeh
Yeah. I think it's great. Whatever the likes of Forest, Everton and Leicester have done, everybody knows it's just a drop in the ocean compared to what City have been doing.

But if you want to challenge yourself against most of the world's best managers you need to come to England
6 hours ago, Cobs said:He’’ll have just beaten Bayern to the title - is it really an incentive to go join them and win it back?
Yeah, this is the point I was trying to make.. it's like a test of his ambition and self belief. Bayern is the easy option. Does almost guarantee success, but clearly an easy option. Much harder to come to us, follow Klopp and combat the biggest cheats in the history of the game, but the rewards for success are much higher.
The Next Liverpool Manager

He's an odd one, because he did so well last season, but then they've been really up and down this time. Proper rubbish against some teams (would be nice if this Brighton showed up on Sunday....). But then he's also lost 2 good midfielders this year (Whatever we say about Caicedo, he was very good for them last season) and had pretty bad injuries. Last season, they created so much against City - think it was the most any team had created against them since Guadiola was manager... So he definitely has something about him.
