I think it?s noticeable how our inability to turn possession into goals is starting to affect our play more so in the last 4-5 games. We seem to be controlling games in the first half passing the ball around, controlling the tempo, creating chances and on the whole out playing our opponents. However, when we fail to score in the first half the passing manual is seemingly ditched and we revert back to aimlessly lumping the ball up field. It?s understandable and I know the players are eager to get the ball up the other end but someone really needs to calm it down and get the ball back on the deck.

He's a good player not great player......for £20m I would expect a goal machine and Torres, for all his ability, will never be a prolific scorer.

This is the point though had we sold both and bought for arguments sake Niemi and he was currently out injured you would be happy to send on a kid with no experience....?? Granted Carson isn't that experienced but at least he's had a taste of league and European football..

It made sense to keep hold of Dudek, if Carson had been injured we would be in trouble right now as we have nobody else ready to make the step up to the 1st team...Although I would much rather have Carson fill in in Pepe's absence, just goes to show how important Pepe is to the team. Dudek's distribution yesterday was poor at best..

I agree he's been a miss but I'm not sure the Wigan game will suit him...

I think most of the boos were down to the fact that on a number of occasions he failed to make a decent challenge for the ball and didn't pressure the oppo enough when they were in possession, it also didn't help that he gave up far to easily when chasing after stray passes (the one he gave up on in their box in the second half got the biggest reaction)...

He got a fair few boos from the crowd lastnight from the area I was in...
