You've got no idea about my feelings towards you, or anyone else on here.

I've advised you that your post is disgusting - it is, simple as that. I've now finished with the situation but will step in again if necessary.

If you wish to discuss your obvious issue with me further, then https://www.ynwa.tv/messenger/

    I don’t.

Seriously? You take responsibility for you

No comment about his abuse huh? That gets swept under the rug?

And clearly I don’t think he’s schizophrenic. Sarcasm happens all the time on here and is routinely tolerated. He’s a very eloquent and often cryptic poster. His abusive post was filled with rage that came out of the blue. Paragraphs 2 and 4 were even punctuated poorly. Almost like a copy and paste. I don’t know the reason for that.

If you have an issue with what someone has posted about you then use the 'Report' functionality or grow a thicker skin and 'be the bigger man'

Your own post is disgusting compared to his.

I’d do that if you looked at things impartially. You don’t. There was nothing that I said that was disrespectful. Smithtown decided to get personal, and nasty, right out of the blue. It was a debate about political accomplishments. No need for getting personal and abusive. But he decided to go there. Now I’m the bad guy? There’s no need for anyone to get like that on here but you tolerate it repeatedly and then single out certain people who you don’t care for.

F*ck that. Dish it out impartially or don’t lecture me.

They could get things done?  What things.  Centrist sensible things.

it does have something to do with something because the barracking they get from men like yourself is that they lose elections, they make people vote republican, even though they are very young and have won their own states and the democrats won the White House from trump when they were both in the public eye, and Trump won when sensible centrist Hilary ran against him and there was no AOC or IO for the right to blame for that defeat, only the white people for turned away from her and voted for him, so maybe you don’t know what you’re talking about and it’s prejudices spilling out when you see her, and don’t listen, and the best thing for men like you to do is to shut up with your old boring ideas that make people not vote at all because everything is about you shower morning noon and night with your f***ing golf course banter bulls***

Leave the women alone.  They’re being interesting.

and who the f*** wants to go through life saying they’re right but they shouldn’tsay it, not yet, but they are right, but shhhhh

This reads like two different people wrote this post. Is the schizophrenia kicking in? I know it can’t be because you are drunk.

And why the anger and the personal vitriol? Gets your meds checked.

How many elections have AOC and IO lost in their political careers so far?  Must be lots.

What does that have to do with anything? The issue is what do they get accomplished in the House. Which isn’t much. Excellent issues that they bring up, and very good lines of questioning from AOC in particular.

But their stands against the bulk of what the Democratic Party is pushing through is not constructive. At the present time, their mindset is not only unpopular with the undecided centrist voters, but also with the left-of-center voters. They are outliers in American politics. Their positions will get 100% of nothing. If they took more reasonable positions, they could get some things done in the short run, and can build on that in the future.

She just needs to adopt more sensible views, then she'll be safe.

That’s not the answer as you well know.

The answer is to put up candidates who can beat these evil and psychotic members of Congress like Gosar, Green, Jordan, Gohmert, Cawthorn. But easier than that is to put moderate Democrats in who can beat the likes of McCarthy, Nunes, Zeldin, and any other vulnerable Republicans, be it because of their constituency or their behavior.

    What a surprise.

You really should keep silent about those beliefs of yours in case someone hears you and finds  you to be unacceptable

Your mere presence makes people vote republican, just your face and the way you dress is enough for normal rational people to buy a MAGA hat and a gun so the best thing you can do is stay in the house and wait til a centrist gives you the signal that it’s okay to come outside and say how you feel

Thanks for the advice, but I’ll be as mouthy as I always am.

Does her policies resonate with you?

For the hundredth time, pretty much yes. I don’t disagree with much with her. In fact, I have a number of what would be labeled as radical beliefs in today’s America. Religion, guns, abortion, health care, parental leave, gerrymandering, election rules, and a whole lot more are issues that I’m totally out of synch with in America.

But I also recognize that the Constitution hamstrings you and that the mindset of the people dictates that the far left’s beliefs are non-starters. Sadly, I believe that incremental change is the most viable option. To believe otherwise is a fantasy.

So they should be quieter.  If the things they believe in don’t resonate with republicans they should leave it to more experienced and wiser heads or just go home and stop messing about

It sucks but that’s the way forward for progressive politics

    Right on

And their supporters and people who agree with them will have no choices or voices but the main thing is that republicans will feel they’re being heard

Quieter? No. Adopting positions that actually have a chance of becoming reality? Yes.

It doesn’t need to resonate with Republicans. That’s a waste of time. Things need to resonate with Democrats and independents.

so the best thing she and Ilhan can do is be quiet and stay off our screens and let more acceptable reasonable looking people make the case for progressive ideas, I get it

    Clear as day

And voters who look like and sound like her will just go along with it because they’ve no choice, or voice, which is ideal

Ummmm, no you don’t. What she and Ilhan can do is to embrace less controversial positions rather than ones that have no chance of becoming law and which get used by the right to boost their campaigns.

The present situation sucks. The voters who look and sound like her have gotten the shaft repeatedly. But championing views that have no chance of happening is pointless. It sucks, but it is pointless.

Are there any women of colour in the democrat party who are doing it right, whose presence doesn’t win votes for the other side?

Yes. Val Demmings, Karen Bass, Lucy McBath.

Plenty more on the state level too. Tish James for example.

Having a go at AOC now.

    ok, there’s a pattern emerging

Right. She is a fantastic object for the Republicans to point at. To paint her as a future leader of a socialist America.

Here’s a pattern for you. The higher her profile, the more that Republicans win. She’s the perfect symbol for their PR lies.

I can't help thinking Newcastle should be all over our fringe players and some of our ex players. Origi, Ox, Minamino, Kieta as well as Coutinho.

Hopefully they'll spend stupid money on this lot in Jan to help out our transfer kitty.

This is an excellent strategy for them to follow.

That result is a rejection of Biden and of the Democrats' broken election promises, not of the likes of AOC.

    Weird to claim otherwise.

Trump is living proof that people have had enough of the same old s***e, but while conservatives mobilised behind their 'radical alternative',  self-proclaimed progressives continue to talk their's down.

You’re wrong about that. That may be a European fantasy, but Americans consistently vote against their own interests. Sure, they like free healthcare, but not at the cost of supporting AOC, accepting stricter gun control, loosening up on abortion, and in and on.

One of the things that electorate in New York was mobilized by the reform of the bail to a more liberal methodology. The bizarre hatred for the teaching of American history from an honest standpoint was another. Republicans came out in droves and the Democratic failure to pass legislation (note: they couldn’t get the votes because the politicians reflected the priorities of their electorate) jaded the Democrats.

This was a red wave and it is a horrible signal for what is to come.

You may want a more left-wing agenda, but it will not carry in America presently. The reason for that is a mixture of people just not wanting it for their own social reasons, or for apathy. The likes of AOC are a wonderful PR tool for the Republican Party to rally their cause.

The majority of people living in US want free healthcare. Could easily be built on by decent politicians.

The same politicians who advocate that are also the ones who want gun control, separation of church and state, and abortion rights.

Therefore, free health care loses every time.

Just wondering why you chose to ignore the replies to this question

Because it was pretty pointless to. Omar has honorable goals. They are unattainable in today’s America though. Yesterday’s election results are a pretty ominous indication of where this country is heading, and it’s not towards the beliefs of Omar, Bernie and AOC.
