Watched Roxanne and Atonement yesterday. Roanne was better than I expected it to be after not having seen it for 20 years or so, Atonement was better than I expected it to be given that it had Keira Knightly in it. I thougt the book would be virttually unfilmable but they made a decent enough stab at it and there was only one really jarring moment in it - the posh ginger kid shouting 'SOR-REE!' in that brattish noughties style when it was supposed to be set in the 1930s.
