Lille v Liverpool (11/03/2010) - Double Agents
Tuesday, 9th March 2010
YNWA looks at the careers of those known to have represented both sides as we prepare to face Lille OSC Métropole in the first leg of our Europa League tie on Thursday.

Bruno
Bruno Cheyrou joined the reds from Lille OSC Métropole for £3.7m in May 2002, although he had to wait two months for his international clearance. He is now back in his homeland with Stade Rennais, having struck five times in 48 reds games. He had bagged 31 goals in 111 League outings for Lille, helping them to the Ligue 2 title in 2000 and then into the Champions League.

More medals than games
Reserves keeper Pegguy Arphexad only played six senior reds games after signing on a free transfer from Leicester City in July 2000. He secured winners' medals for the UEFA Cup, FA Cup, two League Cups, UEFA Super Cup and FA Charity Shield after sitting on our bench in each Final. He was released by the reds in June 2003. He had two spells with Lille, failing to make a first-team appearance in 1990/91 before moving to Racing Club de Lens. He returned to les Dogues to play just two senior games for them in 1996/97, before joining the Foxes in August 1997.
