South China FC v Liverpool (24/07/2007) - Down Memory Lane
Monday, 23rd July 2007
YNWA takes a look back at our previous pre-season trips to Hong Kong as we prepare to meet South China Athletic Association for the first time in the Hong Kong Stadium on Tuesday. This will be the third time we will have played in this stadium.

Most recently
Anthony Le Tallec scored his first reds goal in July 2003, as we thumped a Hong Kong Select XI 6-0 to claim the Invest Hong Kong Football Challenge Cup. Milan Baroš and Emile Heskey both netted braces, while Vladimír Šmicer also got on the scoresheet.

First visit
We won the Vita Cup in June 1983, beating now-defunct Hong Kong side Bulova 2-0. Mark Lawrenson and Robert Savage were on target.
